MUMBAI (Reuters) – Silver futures in India fell more than 11 percent on Monday morning tracking weak world markets, while gold futures lost 4 percent.

At 10:48 a.m., the most-active silver for December delivery on the Multi Commodity Exchange was down 10.72 percent to 47,932 rupees per kg, while gold for October delivery was 3.67 percent lower at 25,735 rupees per 10 grams.

Gold and silver prices tumbled in the world market on Monday as investors liquidated their positions on fears of an impending recession.
